Export Controls Symposium: Semiconductors, AI, and Heightened Enforcement
The program will focus on the fast-changing export controls landscape impacting semiconductors, artificial intelligence (“AI”), and other advanced technologies, and the implications for national security. Speakers from U.S. and foreign law firms, industry, and the U.S. government will discuss evolving semiconductor and AI restrictions, the expanding reach of the Foreign Direct Product Rule, the anticipated return of the “Affiliates Rule,” updated drone export controls, and practical takeaways from recent enforcement actions to help organizations better understand risk, regulatory expectations, and compliance considerations across global operations.
Blank Rome partners Anthony Rapa and Kenneth J. Nunnenkamp will co-host the symposium, along with BDO USA. The event, which will be held in Washington, D.C., will include panel discussions from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a networking reception.
